I have let everyone on here down!
Months ago my hubby bought 2 new pairs trousers, but the leg length needed altering on both.
Today I found both pairs on top of a pile of new fabrics - hint taken - and I have just done the alterations.
Boy, do I feel smug!

Oh no! You didn't let on that YOU did it at home, did you? You told him that you took them out, right? That someone else did it?
Next thing you know, he's going to want you to COOK or something!!
;)

He's lucky you didn't cut them up and use them in a quilt :) :) Men are so trusting!

OH No don't let the word get out that you can do alterations or other such sewing  Before you know it , you will never find your quilting fabric for all the "other" stuff that needs fixing that finds its way to your area :hunf: LOL

My family knows that if they want to get rid of any piece of clothing, just leave it in the sewing room for repairs. They will never see it again.

Leaving any sort of clothing in a quilters room is just dangerous. It can go in as a shirt, but come out a baby quilt. lol

my son moved out 2 years ago. there are shirts hanging in the closet- I keep feeling them and thinking they would be awesome in a quilt. I wonder how long before they are officially "abandoned"?
