Is there anyone out there who can help me with a star shape? It would be helpful if it would fit into size A4

Are you going to machine embroider it? Or do you need a pattern to cut one out? Paper piece? What is a A4 size?

Thank you for replying, Pat. A paper piece would be great. I would like to make a stuffed star shape to go with other nice shapes to adorn a baby's crib. A4 size is about 81/2" x 11" . Thanks, Edna

Here in the Philadelphia area we consider this a 'Betsy Ross' star as that is the type on our first flag.

Actually, 8 1/2" X 11" is what we use in the US, and the A4 size used in the UK and Europe is 8.3 x 11.7 in or 297 x 210 mm so slightly different. You may run into problems getting them to print properly unless you adjust your printer settings. If you can change the left and right margins to be just slightly narrower, you may get the same size star on your paper, or you could have the printer set to "size to fit", in which case you will get a slightly smaller star. I hope this helps!

I have a cousin in Germany who has exchanged email with me for many years, and for a long time she liked to print out the messages and was terribly annoyed with me for not having my margins adjusted right for her paper! I had no idea what to do about that. I think her son finally helped her work it out. Isn't it about time the entire planet decided to standardize typing paper? I guess it would be a bit of a bother for whichever side had to change their printer settings and file cabinets, etc..

I just looked up "Paper Size" in Wikipedia, and it's very informative - probably more than I'll ever need to know about it, but it's notable that there is, in fact, a worldwide standard, and only the US and Canada have not adopted it!!! Everyone is out of step but us.
