When my family and I were traveling to california we were stopping by my aunts in arkansas... and I saw a huge cross... but never were close enough to actually see it... I wonder if this was it!

Is that part of a shrine?????? Oh how cool is that???????????? When I lived in NY there was Our Lady of the Island Shrine and they had a statue of the Blessed Mother that was that big and She was on top of a hill. You could see Her for miles and from the Great South Bay if you were on a boat. Thanks for sharing the pic.

I remember this from my teen days (sometime in the late 70's-early 80's) we went there with our church group and there is an outdoor theatre, or was then, that had a production of the Passion of Christ.

stunning what man can do when his heart is called upon. To me, doesn't really matter the religion, it only matters that all answer to someone, somewhere, sometime. And that we treat each other with a deep respect of who each person is.

We do not do that anymore. We do not do a lot of things anymore.... but the stature does speak to many people without a word.

I have seen this years ago, probably middle seventies. You seem to be advertising for Arkansas, I saw your thread on Eureka Springs earlier, are you with the Chamber of Commerce?
