My granddaughter and I made strawberry jam yesterday. She did all the prep, cooking, and pouring into jars. Haven't tasted it yet but it looks good!

Makes me think about making some for gifts this year.

She sure looks happy about her Jam!!!
I havn't made Jam since I started working 9 years ago. I used to go out the strawberry fields and buy the "2nd's" right from the field and make jam with it. No time any more. Sure did taste good though!!!

This is my first time! I really enjoyed doing it and would like to do much more. Getting a little late for fresh fruit but there are farmer's markets and little stands nearby that I can get produce from.

I like the little fabric covers. I buy berries when they are in season and make some jam. I buy extra and frezze them, during the long cold days of winter I take out my frozen berries and make jam. It smells so good and warms the house.

That's great! Now you should teach her how to make some biscuits to go with that jam LOL. I love teaching my kids some of the 'old fashioned' techniques, canning, sewing, quilting, etc. Tell her good job!

That's what I'm thinking... Christmas presents. :)

I should make some biscuits, been a long time since I did that. Makes me want some homemade bread, nice and warm from the oven and the end crust is the best part!
