I bought mine a few years ago after having a mid-range one. It's a B&D Classic, no auto shut-off, gets hot, stays hot and steams hot. When it's on there is a light that flashes green and when it's off but plugged in the light flashes red. Many times this has saved me when I've left my sewing room and forgotten to return to turn off the iron. Bought it for $20-$25 at WM. Best iron so far. I also have a Clover mini iron that gets extremely hot, I can't use it at full temp. Burnt a hole in a doll dress but I think the fabric was part poly. Too bad I burned it when the dress was finished.

I hate when that happens. Sometimes it is just one thing after another.
