Oh Kim,
I like you so much already! No, it's OK, I just rescheduled the pickup. I think if I keep the ice on I should be able to do it on Weds. Swelling is going down but didn't want to push it tomorrow. Thanks so much for your offer. One day is not going to make a difference and I've already called them. See you on Thursday?

I too have cruddy knees and as soon as anyone says BE CAREFUL they might as well bump me on over.. I over react and whomp down she goes. Massive reconstruct on left knee 2 yrs ago or so.. very very careful with them now. Things never heal as fast as we gently get older. KITTIES? RESCUE KITTIES? I rescue kitties too!!! I just got an email that I was so hoping not to get as its January. Pregnant stray about ready to burst can I help.. I was so hoping it would go til end of Feb at least before the flood starts again. So many kitties and so few hands to help them.

Someone just asked me if I had any and I said "no, not usually until April". So sorry to hear about your call. I wish people would fix even just the 'boys' since then there would be no babies. Usually the boys are less expensive to fix also. I had 20 fosters last year, 4 were little one I got less than 3 days old. Lots of time w/bottles and no sleep. But I cry when I have to put them in the cages so they can be adopted. Guest room, foster central, has all my sewing room moved into it while restructuring it, so I'd better not get any calls. Usually at this time of year its not babies but a stray that needs "loving" before it can be adopted. Too cold for much 'kitty panky' here in MI. Best of luck.

Sun, get better soon. I fear falling more as I get older. I am around so many people with bum knees, I don't want to go that route. Also Bless you for fostering cats. It must be very hard to let them go to forever homes.

It is hard (I always cry) but knowing they will be adopted is a good feeling. It really is hard when you have fostered kitties and it takes a long time for them to find their homes. There are two kitties still there that I had in April! They are a brother & sister and were a bad trap to begin with. They were also a little older so that made it harder to gentle them. They are so sweet but not 'kittens' anymore so it will take a special person to take them. I know that person/family is out there, they just have to walk thru the door of the Luv-A-Pet center. There is another little tortie that I had in October that is the half-sister of the foster failure (one I fostered but liked so much I adopted) from my May litter. Her sister was adopted and she was left. Why couldn't they have taken both of them????? They were both very shy too. I just have to keep praying; God loves them too. Thanks for your kind thoughts. I'm feeling quite a bit better tonight. Darn that ice!!!!!

Wendy,
I just found out that you had a fall. Hope your knee gets better real quick. Please be careful when you go outdoors.
I saw my daughters new kitten today. She has long legs and is skinny. Just like my daughter. They say that pets tend to resemble their owners.

Hi all, well I'm up and about. Well not out and about but off the ocuch. Knee swelling is going down and back, well we won't think about that. It could have been LOTS worse. Should be 'fine' for road trip (short) to Watterstide's on Thursday. Thanks for all the good thoughts. This time of year is bad because of the freeze/thaw cycle. There is alot of ice out there that is not really visible, therein my 'downfall', LOL. Ouch! Have a great day everyone.
