He is so sweet- I used to give my cat straight cod liver oil, just put it on her paw, and she would lick it off, she loved it.

The symptoms that you mention could be caused by things other than eating thread. The best idea you have is to take him into the vet. They can check and tell you for sure. It could be lots of things, hope its not serious! Please let us know...he sure is cute!

Just to update: He seemed to have gotten better this morning on his own. We called the doc and they said to keep an eye on him and if he shows any relapse to bring him in Saturday.
I think (I hope) he is going to be fine.

thanks for all your well wishes and concerns, you're the nicest bunch of people I've ever kept company with.

He's really a cute cat. Never had one eat thread but my dog ate almost a spool of thread. I caught him eating it. For a little while my husband thought he had swallowed the bobbin too but thank goodness he didn.t. Hope your cat does better.

I dont think mine would have ate it, but you know how cats are if they lick something off of themselves, they'll likely just swallow it. That's what I was afraid of.

Sorry to hear about you kitty.I know how worried you must be. Our little dog chewed up end of my ear phone. I found little piece but the big piece that goes in ear couldn't find was worried she swallowed it and it was going to get stuck. Later found it in dinning room. WHEW!!!
Hope all goes well for u and kitty.
