Fabric.com https://www.fabric.com/apparel-fashi...it-fabric.aspx
Has various weights and colors. Never had a problem with them, but I am sure you could call in an order after looking online for what you want to buy.

If she "lives" in bibs I wouldn't use plastic in the sleeves as it will be too hot. My daughter asked me to make some with the plastic for my GS thirteen years ago but I used light wt. toweling and she was happy with that and so was he.

Once you find your ribbing, try making it a little wider like a mock turtleneck. It makes a wonderful bib that keeps her cleaner!

Any stretch knit will work, but if you only want the ribbing that you find on tee shirts, I like this store and it is sold by the inch

Thank all of you for your input. Whee, there may be a way around the ribbing problem after all. And all of the great suggestions. You will be proud of me - I just dissected one of Gramps' "holy (holie?)" t-shirts and got the "test" bib neckband in. With your list of ribbing source possibilities G's t-shirt collection may not be raided too much.

If anyone is interested, the idea for the plastic sleeves came from bibs the Princess' father had. Cut down on "spaghetti arms" and other stains a bunch. I'll probably take a shot at one and see which way things work. Obviously, I do a lot of test runs when I am tinkering with ideas. And the tests get archived and the archives are beginning to take too much room. More ideas??????

Again, thank all of you.

A.
