Yes, after church today I'm leaving for a quilting retreat. I won't be back until time for church Wednesday evening. I'm so excited, I cut the fabric for three quilts yesterday! Have fun while I'm gone, everyone play nice. :lol: See ya Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Good for you!! Isn't it fun to just run away once in a while?! I wish I could do that.

Can you say MOM CAMP? I feel like I'm taking half the house with me! I've got two suitcases of fabric, batting, and stuff, one tote of cutting supplies, thread, etc., a big bag of batting, my machine, iron, my "travel" ironing board, Plus my clothing and my pillow. LOL It will take me an hour just to get all of it in from the car. Oh, and my food for three days. I still have to go to the store on my way. Last I knew there were going to be 17 of us. However, I'm taking 20 gifts just in case. I bought silicone iron rests at Hancocks for 25 cents each, made little bags from one fat quarter folded in half then tied them at the top. So each person will get an iron rest and a fat of their choice. As far as I know there's only one lady going that I'm sure that I know and that's the organizer, Mary. She's also my quilting instructor but she organizes an open retreat every two months at Threads of Time in Danville Il.
