Default Thread warehouse

I read somewhere that there is a thread warehouse in one of the Carolina states. Does anyone have the name? I am going east in October and would love to stop by this store. Thanks.

There is a thread store in Gastonia, NC, but for the life of me, I can't remember the name and I have been there several times! They sell threads of all types, yarn and sewing supplies

There is also a LARGE fabric store in Gastonia called Mary Jo's. If you like fabric, leave yourself PLENTY of time to go through Mary Jo's. It is marvelous.

Coats and Clark has two mfgr. plants in the south, I was just reading a story about them in a quilt magazine last night. Amazing what goes into making a good spool of thread.

The YLI manufacturer is in this area. Not sure of the city. I don't know if they have a store.

And if you decide to stop in at MaryJo's, take a list of what you are looking for because it is so overwhelming when you first walk through the door and see alllllll the fabric. Don't forget to breath also as one tends to hold one's breathe first time in.

Prices have gone up since MaryJo retired so it's not quite a great as it used to be .... but then I suppose not much is.
