never an end to bugs!!! I love my ereader but if it had not been a very unexpected gift from my DD, I would have eventually bought an Ipad so I could get kindle and nook books on the same device...BUT I LOVE IT!

I've owned my Kindle for a year or so and I love it. I especially enjoy reading on it at night. They have come out with an updated one so that must be even better!! When mine "dies" I would certainly buy another.

I do love real books and still buy them too...depends on what kind of book it is.

I never thought of bugs in books....yuck.......guess I will use my kindle more and now try to figure out how to do library downloads on the iPad......and we just voted for a new, bigger library in our town.......could have saved on our tax bills!!!!!!! Someday all things will be only electronically accessible..........

Never thought about this problem, but see how it could happen. Now I can justify never going to the library. I never thought I'd be that way, but some things just gross me out!!!

ick. yep, roaches love glue. i used to live in Houston. reading this, more to worry about with my books from the library than just them being damaged when i ck them out. i got blamed for one book having damage because they didn't find it until i returned it. Grrrr. i did not pay!! sigh. now must ck for bugs, double ick.

I forgot to add that I haven't been in a library in years.

I bought the inexpensive Kindle and gave it as birthday presents to the school kids in the family. All the required reading books for school are all in one place and most of them are free. The basic Kindle doesn't have games or go online so it's great for kids just for reading.

I am a library retiree, I have never seen roaches or bed bugs. This is all new to me that it happens. I believe in libraries and will always support them. Libraries are much more than the books you take home with you.
