This is just almost disgustingly cute:

here's the story -

A "meow" outside the door of an Atlanta home has turned into a labor of love for a dog.

Camille and Mari Ryan Heschmeyer say their dog, Ellie, has taken "ownership" of a little kitten they found abandoned outside their home last week.

Although she has never had puppies, Ellie has become very much a mother to this baby feline.

"It's been a very interesting situation." says Mari Ryan Heschmeyer, one of Ellie's owners. "We didn't expect more than a little curiosity and scooping up. [She said] thank you very much, it's mine now."

here's the video -

Very cute. A number of years ago I had a border collie that had never had puppies. I got 2 little kittens 3 weeks old that DD and I were bottle feeding. After they ate we would hand them to Pepper, and she would very lovingly and efficiently give them baths, cleaning up their rear ends and all!! Then she would cuddle them like they were her own. She was great. I miss that dog!!

Oh, what a sweet story. That little kitty was at the right door at the right time. It is so precious how the doggy took to mothering the tiny kitty.

I think this happens more than you would think. I had a cocker cross that would get in the box with a calico's kittens to take care of them. It was a very cold winter and I knew it was just too cold outside, so we brought them all in the house. When it was time for the Momma Calico to nurse, I would have to pick Mitsy up and put her in another room. She thought those kittens should be hers.

What a sweet story. That kitten is too young to be away from it's mother! I hope it will thrive with it's foster mother.... :D

How adorable, seems the dog has more instincts than some women.
I hope the people know how to take care of it.
