Exclamation Toe-Up Socks

I want to make a pair of socks with wool finger yarn. I have watched a few video's on u-tube. Does anyone suggest a great pattern to try?

There are many patterns out there for knitting toe up socks. Sorry I don't have a site on hand. If you've not done the toe up method before, some of the simple tutorials for beginners also include cables and/leaf patterns. I find the heel turning easier and I alway get a perfect fit as you can try them on while you're knitting them.

I don't knit but my DIL is a knitting genius. She recently discovered a way to knit both socks at once and swears that this is the best idea in knitting socks ever. I think she uses those needles that are connected. (Circular?) Food for Thought!

This is the one I use as well. It is top down, but it makes perfect socks every time. I love the new self striping yarns. It gives the socks a detailed look, but is so easy.

I haven't knitted any socks other than baby booties, but I have this bookmarked, just in case: http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter02/FEATtiptoptoes.html
