Yesterday we had our monthly birthday dinner. A smaller crowd than usual. There were only 13 of us. No elaborate menu, just hamburgers and hot dogs and 2 chocolate cakes. But so much fun! The only baby in the family is 18 months old, my great grandson, and he is a show all to himself! I have a wonderful family, loud, funny, a little on the crazy side, but also loving and considerate and generous.

As a widow I realize how lucky I am to have a son, 2 sons-in-law, and grandsons galore to help outside or in whenever I need it, and wonderful daughters who love and support me in whatever I want to do. How rich can one person be!

My grandmother used to say,, the best gift you can ever receive from above, is your family, they are priceless. I am glad you have a family of wonderful support,,,

I agree, my family is a blessing. I was so happy yesterday because we had our grandsons. Watching them make me laugh! My children, husband and grandchildren are priceless.

A good family life is not a given it is worked at.

I couldn't agree more that you can go through many trials and tribulations in life, but if you have a loving family, those trials are much easier to weather! I am blessed to not only have my family, but my Hubby's family that I absolutely adore! Also, with the addition of my daughter, my life is as complete as I could wish for right now! (and at 14 months...I agree...she is a show unto herself! I marvel at her every day!) And my Husband...he is the core of my universe!
:) Thank you for such a wonderful post and reminding me to be Thankful to Heaven above for those around me who love me!
Thanks too for wonderful friends, such as all those on this board...oh gee...now you've got me all soppy and gooshy! :)

I love my family. But I'm tired of being the one everyone depends on. When they need something " Sis can you help" I've told them I'm tired of being the bank! The well has dried up! They laugh at me! Priceless is the perfect word for them! I love them all but live far away from them on purpose!

A good family life is not a given it is worked at! Yes I agree.
I have a wonderful family life "away from them". And it works! I hope I don't sound to mean.

I can't live with out my family or my In-Laws....they are so caring and loving. We had my sisters son's grad party yesterday. It was busy and fun. But hot! LOL.....she lives in the country...we watched a van coming our way with a cop right behind it.....every turn the van turned the cop turned. We all were freaking out and laughing...van pulls in and so does the cop! LOL....Come to find out, it was my nephews girlfriends uncle! It was so funny, he got a kick out of it. And the van?? Was horrified! It was a great day!
