Transfer to Pinterest
I just saw a picture of a beautiful quilt that I would like to add to my "bucket list" on my pinterest page; but do not know if this is allowed. Do I need to contact the board member and ask permission? If so, and I do get permission how do I transfer it from here to there?

There have been lots of pictures here that were first on Pinterest; and they usually appeared elsewhere before showing up on Pinterest. Even Google Images has tons of pics from Pinterest.
I sometimes question how ethical to the "letter of the law" it is for these postings, but everyone *should* know by now that if you want to keep something private, for heavens sake, don't put it on the internet!!

I would PM the member and ask permission. I have no idea how to transfer it.

I've seen some of my quilts, which I posted on quiltingboard, on Pinterest. I was flattered! I think it's noble that you're asking about this, but really I agree with Jan. Nothing is private once it's on the internet. Most of the postings I've seen on Pinterest give a link back to the "original" source, which is very helpful if you're trying to learn more about the item.

Whenever I see something I like I save it on my computer as jpg or pdf then
I know I will have it when I need it. Quite often pictures/blogs get mysteriously deleted.
If you save a link, you're take chances of not finding it next week/month/year.
I don't like to save my stuff on other sites either. It can either get deleted or
they ask you for a ransom.

Please get permission first.
not all of us are flattered when what we share here is essentially pirated and posted elsewhere.
