My husband's company gave us a trip to see the next space
shuttle launch scheduled for April 29th. Our trip includes a tour
of Kennedy Space Center and seats for the launch. So besides the normal big named theme parks what should we visit and what quilt shops should we visit? We are interested in animals, museums, good places to eat. I'm hoping that my local quilt friends will have so ideas. Thanks

I'm going in October and will also want to go to quilt shops. I have been to Orlando many times with my parents, but don't normally rent a car. This time I will, so I can go anywhere.

If you're going to Hollywood Studios park (used to be called MGM), one of their restaurants is called Hollywood and Vine and I love that place. It's a buffet with plenty of food. It's a little pricey, but worth it for a picky eater like me.

There's another restaurant on International Drive (commonly called I-drive) near the Orlando Convention Center called Ming Court. It's Chinese food, but wonderful Chinese food and the staff is very attentive. My mom and I love their glazed shrimp and walnuts with pineapple. MMMMM! My niece had her wedding reception there about 5 years ago and it was awesome. Mom says the address is just under 10,000 I-drive.
