DH does not like me to use the oven during the heat of the summer, with the air conditioner running. I do my best to plan meals that use the outside grill, a crock pot, or oven roaster. My meal plan for today was to use the oven roaster to make chicken thighs with sliced potatoes in cream of mushroom soup. After preparing, and placing all the ingredients in the pot, I lug the pot to the sun porch and proceed to set the temperature to 350 degrees. (The sun porch isn't air conditioned, and the aroma is vented through the windows.) I soon discover I placed the meal in the crock pot, and not the oven roaster. So I lug the crock pot back to the kitchen, and go get the oven roaster to transfer the food. It must have been a senior moment.

Bet it will be delicious. In Florida I hate usng the oven in this heat and when it's just me I really hate heating it up. I bought one of the Nu-Wave ovens. LOVE it

Your supper sounds delicious! We have all had those moments, you must have a lot on your mind, like quilting instead of cooking.

I even take my toaster oven to the sun porch to keep the heat out of the house. Thanks for reminding me that I could use the roaster out there as well.

I like blaming the heat rather than a senior moments. I have way too many of them.
