OMG we saw the cutest thing today on our shopping trip to NY state.....a mama turkey and six little tiny baby turkeys behind her. We stopped the car and waited for them to come out of the long grass. Mama wanted to cross to the other side of the road. Finally she crossed with the six little babies behind her. It was the cutest thing ever. I am so glad there were no cars coming. I did not have a camera to take a picture. It just made my day!!

oh well, be sure to carry your camera with you as you never know what you might want to take a picture of.

How cool!

Very special! We don't get to see that kind of thing often.

I think they can be mean? Does anyone know. My Uncle raised some in his yard (country, lots of land). They didn't come up to me but I wasn't tempted to go up to them either.
They are beautiful especially when they span their their feathers ?strut?. Wish you could have gotten photos but maybe next time./Regards, Dorothy

We have lots of turkeys around here, but have never seen one with babies. Bet it was a sight.
