years ago, I read that couples who have a TV in their room sacrifice their love life and intimacy to watch TV.
Tonight my DH and I have on the TV and we're each pounding on our separate laptops.
Guess we won't have to pull the shades tonight!![]()

hehehhe...I have had the TV in my bedroom my whole adult life....with HBO, skinamax, and DVD players, it is more fun!
LOL I heard that years ago - wonder what the "experts" have to say about all the new gadgets that have come out since that report
I can't sleep without a TV for background noise - maybe that explains why I am singleLOL
To keep your mind fresh- learn one new thing a day !
Hate having any electronic/tv/etc. equipment in our bedroom....don't even have a digital clock. Have enough electronics during the day....don't need them while we are chillaxing in the boudoir.
No tv in our room.. There's seven other rooms he can go into if he wants to watch tv...
Same goes with laptops --- no place for them in our bedroom
One exception iPhones - we use them instead of alarm clocks.
We live out in the country , no shades needed for any room !!!
The TV in our bedroom is on almost 24 hours a day. Of course, there's usually only one human in there at a time. I'm a full time student so I'm always up late and hes a 3rd shifter and needs the background noise to sleep during the day.

Before I retired I worked the midnight shift. Needed the TV to drown out noise from outside so I could sleep during the daytime. So yes, the TV has been in our bedroom forever. Now I turn it on and put it on sleep timer so it goes off shortly after I fall asleep.
I never heard that but it makes sense.
and for me! i set the timer to turn the tv off after getting to sleep. strangely, this is a new habit in the last few years. as the kids were growing, i couldn't even stand to hear the tv in the other room when trying to go to sleep. so the kids all had to retreat to their rooms to read, or whatever.
