Two Hours And Seven Juice Cans
#81
Good Morning,
Well, I thought I saved the directions past gluing the cans together, but I can't find it. I am ashamed to ask you to send the directions for past putting the batting on the top and bottom.
I would be ever grateful if you would tell me how to do it from that point to the end, and how to have the fabric so it is covering the cans, but nice and neat-looking like yours pictured.
thanks, Mariah

In the "olden days" we made the cans by soddering the cans at the points that they touched. I don't remember them ever coming apart.
Be sure that they are opened with a "church key" triangle beer opener, not the full end opened with a can opener.
Then on the bottom, we padded with several layers of denim of old jeans. The top had a couple layers of old towels. Then a custom fitted sides, top, bottom. Being off spring of depression parents, we always used left over stuff for all purposes possible. Be sure to put a finger loop at one top edge to pick them up easier.
They were the right size for kids to stand at the sink to wash up, to see onto the cupboard to make coookies, etc etc.
