Default Ugly Christmas Sweater

I've been invited to an Ugly Christmas Sweater party. There is a prize for the person who wears the ugliest sweater.

Do you have any ideas what I could make? I'm thinking of a green sweatshirt with a Christmas stocking sewn to the front and a stuffed animal sticking out.

Any other ideas?

Sounds good! I think the screaming red might be even worse then green.

You could always check your local thrift store. They always have some of the ugliest things I have ever seen.

haha, my girls have had an ugly sweater party the last 2 years; unfortunately they only had to look in our basement to find their outfits, lol. But their friends made a trip to Goodwill and had a ball shopping.

Check out ugly Christmas sweaters on ebay - I think some people collect them. link

If time is short I would go to a thrift.

Just had a thought - get some "brick" fabric - make a square on the front - get a small soft santa doll - sew back end to middle of square - Santa got stuck in the chimney.

These are always fun Thrift store is an excellent idea. Be wary of the animal in the sock. My ex-DH did that one year and everyone had to squeeze the animal to see if it made noise. haha. Fine for a guy, but a bit awkward for a female...

Try your local resale shop. I've seen some awful ones at Good will. Funny you should ask - my friend went to a party like that and showed me her sweater - I actually thought it was cute. Each to their own.
