Default Upside Down Pictures

Can someone please tell me why so many pictures that are posted from quilters are upside down?

Ipads, smart phones, etc. There is a way to get them upright but not many people will learn how.

I use my regular camera. I've tried the smartphone. Haven't tried my Galaxy Note 3 yet.

Something I learned from someone on this board, if you right click on the picture and click open in a new tab, a new tab will appear at the top of your screen and the picture will be right side up.

I have uploaded pictures from my photo file, and they are right side up, but when they were uploaded, they were sideways. I was using a computer, not an iPad or smart phone.

I don't think it is always a case of "operator error".

And you are absolutely correct, you can also click on view this page and it will reload correctly, learn something new every day. Thanks
