I ordered from Quilt in a Day in Calif. Asked for Priority mail, called them yesterday to see when it was shipped - was shipped on the 24th, marked priority mail just not in the "box".
Seems the postal service treats things not in the box differently even if it is marked. The gal said they put Priority stickers on the package.

Priority mail doesn't really have any priority. It means absolutely nothing. Express mail is guaranteed, but nothing else is. It usually takes 4 to 5 days.

sometimes, the 'ship' date is not the date it actually goes into the mail.

The US mail can certainly be frustrating!

Something I learned recently, is that you can order from their Paducah store. If you live on the east coast, you would probably get the order sooner than ordering from the QIAD store in California. Their web site is: http://www.eleanorburns.com/

All first class mail is priority mail. Notice the ads state usually 2-3 days however the postage system is eliminating many processing areas so mail takes longer. I work in Lakeland and live in Zephryhills. If we mail to someone in lakeland right down the street it goes to Tampa to get processed and then back to Lakeland.

No guarantee delivery date on priority mail. Accepting clerk should have told you approx. arrival date. I live in an area where there is no overnight delivery available and customers need to be told that.

Priority mail usually gets to me in 2 days - they overnight it. With processing centers/hubs being shut down, good chance it will be a few more days.
As for ordering from the KY store, they did not have what I had ordered from the California store.
