Robot Vacuum cleaner is great and I'd suggest you to have one. It is really saving time. I bought a crazysales 7 in 1 robot vacuum cleaner last year. You should clean by yourself if you are using a manual one; once you set the robotic one up and press start button, it will do the rest part, enabling you to enjoy a moive or a TV show or weave a lovely pattern on quilts when it is working.

Just bought my 3rd Shark last week. Love that it cleans under the bed, tables etc without changing attachments.Has a 30' cord & so far haven't needed to use another outlet. My Shark Navigator went to a friends DD.Theirs broke down & with a young family, they needed a vacuum.Good luck. So many appliances are a pain to pick & pay.

Hoover Wind Tunnel with a bag - old school, but it does a great job. I was warned not to get a bagless with dust allergies. I have a Siberian mix and a Border Collie/Lab (she's the shedder) and almost no dog hair in the carpet cleaner. If a daughter borrows the cleaner, I have her take the vac, too, otherwise the sand in the cleaner is ridiculous. Their vacuums don't handle the sand like mine does. Bags are inexpensive on Amazon or ebay.

I have this one as well. I did my own 'home test', using my Hoover first, doing what I thought was a thorough job, then ran the Shark over the same area. I was stunned at how much more the Shark pulled.

I've purchased expensive vacuums and cheap vacuums. They're all the same, IMO. They all give up after a while, no matter how expensive, no matter how well you care for them and clean them and change the filter and the belt. So I simply purchase a new one about every 2-3 years, and I don't spend more than about $75-$80.

No dog. My Sears upright has a light that comes on when it hits a dirty spot. Goes off when clean. Works for me. I'm quite interested in the Roomba for next time. I see they make a floor scrubber model now.
