I've been noticing how bright Venus is in the evening. Now I'll have to check it out more closely. I live in WA state and I think we will have somewhat the same view. Thanks for sharing. I am fascinated by the stars!

I Ive on Long Island NY, and I noticed it the other night in the western sky, pretty too.

I haven't noticed the planets being bright in the sky but sometimes the moon that was mentioned in the movie Moonlight really does light up my bedroom at night.
