I've gotten their catalog for many years. I don't order often though. they have lots of old fashioned things and candies we never see anymore in stores, etc.

This is where a lot of people get their dry irons. Also just saw a post that they have the light flannel blankets for summer use. People seem to like ordering from them.

i love the site. no problems. they tend to be pricey, but they have items you just can't find anywhere else.

I have ordered from Vermont Country Store before. It has been in business many, many years.

I have ordered from Vermont Country Store, and items have been as represented. Tad pricey, but if you can't find it anywhere else, it's a solution.

I live about eight miles from their Rockingham VT store and 20 miles from the main store in Weston. The company was started in 1946 by the Orton family and their children still run it as far as I know. They carry excellent quality products, but their prices are somewhat high. Their claim to fame is old time stuff that you didn't know was still available, like Fuller brushes and vintage style kitchen items, toys, candies, and Vermont made cheeses. They have an outlet area at the stores, so if you're there you can find a few good deals. I have heavy, insulated canvas type drapes in my bedroom that I got there half price. If you buy something and are not happy with it, you can get good customer service on returns. They do their shipping from Manchester VT and if you call, you'll talk to someone right here in Vermont. No outsourcing to India. I just looked at the website and they also have some outlet bargains there, too. It's not WalMart, and most of us around here are very glad of that. Some of their products are hard to find elsewhere.

I did a study last year on Percale vs. Egyptian cotton sheets...Percale are those nice crisp 100@ cotton sheets that we used to get years ago. And that led me to THe vermont country store too. Boy they are pricy. But if you've got the money go for it..I'm sure they will last for years.
I did however find 100% Cotton Percale Sheets by Cannon at Sears for a much more reasonable price. I liked the white pair that I bought, but hate the dark burgandy that I bought as it tends to pick up lint off the cotton blanket i have on the bed that is light in color. I am pleased with the construction of the sheets and the hand as well.
I did have the opportunity to go to the Vermont Country Store while touring New England last Autumn. It was fun, didn't buy anything...just a little candy. They had some very well made items for top dollar and some items that were just plalin money wasters.
