We have 4 dogs, the 2 youngest are cocker spaniels. Brady is 2 y/o, Heidi is 1 y/o. Brady loves his toys and doesn't like to share. When Heidi wants the toys to herself, she goes and gets Brady all riled up, barking and jumping around which she knows will get them kicked outside. Once Brady goes out, she quickly turns around and runs back in the house so she can have the toy to herself. Well, apparently she's now decided that she doesn't like the foot of the bed anymore. For the past 3 nights she's been getting up and going to the door, acting like she wants out. As soon as my DH gets up to let her out...she turns around and high tails it back to our bed and jumps up in his spot!!

How do you get any sleep? Each of our dogs has his own bed. Cesar Milan would be disappointed in your parenting skills.

OmG! I swear, it must be the name! Our lab, Heidi plays the same sort of tricks! Except-she likes to sneak into bed before my dh and lay her head on his pillow and then pretend she's dead asleep. He has to drag her to the end-and she never misses a beat-keeps right on snoring away. And she doesn't want to play ball-but waits for every opportunity to steal it from Holly-and then places it between her paws and won't give it back!

We used to be "real dog" people. We only had outside dogs. We used to make fun of my BIL and his wife because their dogs were so spoiled. Don't really know how we ended being just like them. I guess that's what happens when your kids start getting older. Got to have someone to baby!
