Here are some pictures of the Vietnam War memorial..the statue of the three soldiers is being refurbished as they have it inside of a windowed building. I took the photo from the window..so there is a little glare on it.

Roaring Thunder tributes, note the dog tags hanging from the large wreath

I used to live in the DC area and ALWAYS paid my respects whenever in town with a trip to this Wall. In ALL weather, you will alawys see mementos left here in memory for the dead.

Thats wonderful. Sad but wonderful. Glad you shared pictures.
Alot of people forget what this 3 day weekend stands for. :-D

Of all the war memorials in DC, this is the one that gets me every time. It is such a stark reminder of the costs of war and the sacrifices made by so many.

We have been there. It greatly affected my husband. He was still Active Duty Navy at the time!
