I have heard that vinegar will kill weeds. Google "killing weeds naturally". Good luck.

I remember using some environmentally safe homemade stuff a couple of years ago. I remember vinegar was involved, but don't remember what else. Here is something I found though. If you google homemade weed killers you'll come up with a long list.

I use a gallon of the strongest pickleling vinegar you can find one cup orange oil and one tablespoon dish soap. mix it well and spray. It usually works with one spraying but with a woody plant it sometimes takes a second spray. This works best in hot weather. Be sure to wash out your sprayer really well after using as it will eat away rubber or plastic fittings.

2C. white vinegar
1T dish soap
1T salt

I have to heat the vinegar to dissolve the salt. It kills anything I have sprayed it on, within hours.

This works really well:

Mix 2 Cups Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Salt
1 Tablespoon Dish Detergent ( Dawn is recommended)

This usually kills weeds with just one treatment

Around here those vinegar weed killers will kill the green stuff showing, but they all come back. I had to resort to a very heavy duty Round Up, although I would prefer natural.

I have never purchased weed killers, but have always used straight vinegar (the cheapest I can find) and pour it directly on the weed. It even killed some poison ivy I needed to get rid of. However, It will also kill any other plants that you get the vinegar on. I guess a person could put it in a sprayer if they had a lot of weeds to get rid of.

1 cup vinegar, 1 cup salt and 1T. of Dawn. 1 cup warm water. mix Dawn in but do not shake. Make sure salt is dissolved in water. Or just Google. My DH found it on internet. Takes couple applications directly to the ground level. Spraying on leaves just burns leaves. DH made up couple gallons. Has made a difference.
