Default Water War at my house!

Some of our kids came home for a few days, along with grandbabies. Our yard may never recover. Papa and I sat on the porch (declared it a dry zone) and watched.

Looks like a great time was had by all.

My family (my kids with their families, brothers & their families) has a mini-reunion every summer, usually 25-30 of us. Several years ago, my brother brought squirt gun & big water blasters for everyone. Good thing it was a hot day 'cause we were all soaked. We had a blast.

So who had the most fun, the big kids or the little ones?

I'm not sure but I think the big kids had as much as the little ones. Dan and I laughed and laughed while watching. We enjoyed watching as much as they enjoyed getting wet. Jamie didn't get to come home from Texas but at least we had most of the kids and a few of the grandkids.

Those water tubes that they were shooting were 2 for $5 at Wal-mart. They're easy to fill and shoot a strong stream about 15-20'.

How fun is that? We had Canadian relatives visit us in military housing (read:small for everyone to fit in), so the kids went outside and started squirting each other with the water hose...it was a hot day and they had fun. They are now grown with kids of their own and still talk about that day!!!
Memories are made with simple things.
