The other day as little man and I were walking thru a store, he looks at me and says, Nice and Loudly, Mom can I have my own sewing desk. Just so you know he is 3. This lady turns, cocks her head to the side and gives me this look and a half smile. I don't think she expected to see a boy asking that. Well all I could was smile because I think every quilter wants to hear these words from their child. I finally told him some day I will get you what you want.
I just had to share it, he did his Mommy proud.

Right on. I work in a fabric store and every time I have a male in the store who is a little shy about sewing I remind them about what it did for Tommy Hilfiger or Calvin Klien. Ricky Tims and John Flynn seem to be doing all right, too.

You must be doing a good job with him! Music to your ears!
Give him a hug from me! That is so precious! Keep encouraging him.

Oh that is so cute! I can just imagine how it made you feel. If he wants a sewing desk at three then maybe he will be a great quilter at a very young age. You never know

I can only hope that he will be an Eddie or a Bill. He has a lot of interest in quilts and watches me. He has also made several requests for certain quilts he wants.

What a joy it was to hear you son's comments. I have been trying to get interest in quilting with any of my 8 grandchildren. My 9 year old grandson did a fantastic job helping to piece a quilt for his new brother coming the end of July. Anytime I can get together with my grandchildren ( they all live a distance from me) I pull out my machine and play. I have even had my three year old have fun pressing the foot pedal with her hand while we guided the fabric for her. Please continue to fan his interest in quilting.
