I know exactly how you feel. We farm too and just finished digging potatoes on Tuesday this week. This morning there was a skiff of ice on the deck, so it was time. There were also a few snow flakes in the air but then this is Canada.

Here in Wisconsin, there is so much corn - from our plentiful harvest - that the feed mills quit taking it!!! Finally a good year and no place to go with it. In my world, the harvest if finished and now we move to haul millions of gallons of manure!! Stinky job but means good money!!

Isn't it a good feeling to have the harvest done, and everyone safe. It's always a worry because the men work extra long hours trying to get done. Here in Iowa, the weather has been perfect for the whole month of October. The last measurable rain we had was in September, so our men were able to stay in the fields without interruption.
