So last week I hear a slew of trucker language (sorry to truckers only way I could describe the scene) coming out of our closet. So knowing right away my husband was having an issue with something I did the wife thing and calmly walked into our closet to see what the matter was. Well it seems something was "wrong" with our safe and he could not get into it so we called the safe company since it was within the year warrenty and they sent out the nicest guy today. Well the first thing he does is open the safe with the code. YES I said OPENED!!! Then he proceeded to "check" it over to make sure nothing was really wrong with it. Then I walked though the steps my DH used to get into the safe and that was the point that we relized he had some how spun the handle the opposite direction and that is why the safe did not open the first time. He had spun the handl all the way around and this is part of the saftly features of a safe but somehow it looked like he even bent the metal on the inside of the door! I will tell you the safe guy had the best customer service EVER he was so kind and made sure not to blame my husband for any wrong doing he did say that it might have been a defect and the warrenty will take care of it. But now my DH insist that he has always turned the handle that way... UM right sweety I don't think it would have worked!! So that was my day today taking care of my sweet DH's messes! We are now forever customers of the safe company !! Now this has taken up most of my morning back to quilting!!!

Well, I've been known to talk some of that trucker talk at times too.
I'm glad it all worked out. You reckon he'll turn the handle the right way next time??

I showed him the "right" way that the service man showed me and even drew a picture of what happened. He conceeded that it might have been his fault but would not admit quilt :) The look on his face was priceless when I showed him what he did wrong. I so wanted to do the "I told you so" dance but I was nice and said the right things!
