I got my BS in Middle Grades Education at 37 (with two kids in two different high schools that year, BTW!) and then my MS in Curriculum and Instruction at 45. Starting my Educational Specialist (EdS) in Teacher Leadership in the next year. Thought about a PhD but I don't care to go into $40,000 debt after age 50! :)

I have a BA in education from UCLA. I married right after graduation and worked as an elementary school teacher until we had children.

I don't have any formal degrees. But did go to night school and finished 2 yrs of accounting, raised 3 kids and worked 2 jobs for years before I met 2nd DH (first one was not so dear...lol)and we were married 32 years before he passed away in 2000 from cancer. Yes, I also graduated the school of hard knocks pretty young....

BS in Consumer Family Science/Education (HOme Economics)
MS in Secondary Education.
With those I taught Home Ec. for 31 years in a high school and then a middle school. I always liked what I was doing but loved the middle school.
As a retiree I now teach quilt classes in a shop and through our park dept. Also spend as much time as possible sewing and quilting.

My first degree was 53 yrs ago...MRS. the second degree was a sun burn, 3rd, giving birth to 5 children & having to deliver 4 by myself, then I worked for a degree at night, having those kids in thier teen years, never slept. Then we had a few hard years where I held 3 part time jobs and learnt more than most books could teach me. We live thru it all, and can look back proudly, as we now are retired and have been blessed with 7 grand kids (all can do no wrong) and 4 Great grandkids(the most beautiful) and it all was good.
