Just had to share my morning with you. Woke up to howling wind and blowing snow. I thought Ok, good day to stay inside and be cozy. DH and I were discussing making soup. I'm thinking good day to sew, look at quilting board, etc. So within the next few minutes power went out. No sewing, no computer, no cooking! Yikes! Well, it came back on after a few hours, but I had to laugh at how lost I felt without my sewing machine and my internet connection. Not so much missing the stove right then. LOL

Better take up knitting. I know some knitters who could knit in the dark too.

That why I always have my bag of stuff I do by hand. It's the bag I take when waiting at the doctors or at the hospital. Right now I am working on a Grandmother's Flower Garden.

Our electricity blinks every day. We stay Y2K prepared down to the wood burning stove and the iron skillets. Oh and the hoop loaded with something to quilt by hand.

We are starting a 24 hour blizzard - heavy snow and 40 mile an hour winds, expected to last the next 24 hours. My daughter was here. I told I may have brought the wrong machine Friday. My 'new' old lady is electric. Maybe I should have looked for a treadle.

I used to have a treadle a long time ago but gave it up for an electric. Wish I had it back but still want to keep electric machine.
