What do you do to relax after a long day? I do several things. I come to this board and read about alot of stuff, and I've learned alot of stuff about sewing that I didn't know which is a whole heck of a lot because I haven't been sewing quilts for but a couple of years.
I like to read. But I find that I don't read as much as I would like to be reading. I like to play games on the computer and I do play games at Tams11.com every single evening and I use the name Airwick. I play a game there called Mumbo Jumbo which is like boggle/scrabble combined, Drawnet, which is a version of Win Lose or Draw, and a game called Catablast which is similar to Scategories. Theres bunches of games, but these are the main ones I play. I have met alot of really cool people there.
I seem to tell alot of people about this website because I really enjoy it alot. I have a friend that I met there that does entertainment on a cruise ship that I told about the quiltingboard so she has it bookmarked on her laptop she takes with her so she can come and read when she has time off.
Sometimes my husband and I will play some board games, BUT NOT Monopoly. I do not like that game. But we do play dominoes, phase 10, cribbage and a few other games together. My husband is a disabled Veteran and loves to watch movies mostly besides camping.

I read alot. Most anything I can get my hands on. Thus the kids got me a Nook for Christmas and my daughter downloaded all her books she thought I might like from her e reader to mine. I have close to 250 books to read now. (If I start one and don't like it I just delete!) It goes everywhere I go.

I also surf alot online. Sometimes I'm on information overload!!

Need to quit both and get back to sewing!!

I take a bubble bath with a good mystery. I play solitaire on the computer and some other word games. I also knit baby blankets for Children's Hospital NICU. I am retired so my whole day is an attempt to relax. Life is too short to get tied up in frustrations.

To relax it is a bubble bath and a good book or a glass of wine and the hot tub.

I play games on myyearbook, pogo, sometimes on yahoo. I go to facebook to see what my family is doing sometimes. I like to read romance stories, check out this quilting site and do lots of research on COPD which my husband has.

Quilting is my main relaxation believe it or not, :)

I cuddle with my dogs! They are a great comfort to me. I love the board and I too have learned a lot from all these wonderful people on here!! I have been working 12-14 hours a day so I have to "squeeze" in relax time. So when I get home I usually take the dogs for a short walk, grab a cup of tea,a sandwich and my laptop and read what everyone is up to. On weekends I like to spend time with the grandkids and sew. I did take all next week off so I am officially on vacation right now! Woo Hoo!!! So my relaxing will consist of a LOT of quilting stuff!!! I will have to check out that website because I do enjoy work games too!!

If relaxing is synonymous with "recovery", as in after a long trip/drive or a very busy or demanding day, then it's a nap for me! I'm the best sleeper in the world, I LOVE my bed and pillow

If relaxing is "between activities", then I can be found here punching these keys, reading email, playing solitaire, checking FB; or cuddledin my favorite chair with a quilt, soft music and a book.

Just about anything else is "work" to me, LOL! :-D

Between this board and reading, I don't have much time to do other things I want, such as sewing and volunteering. Thankfully
I'm a very fast reader with a poor memory?.

I keep books I like to reread every year, Science Fiction =Ann McCaffree, Isaac Asimov, Jules Vern, Donna Andrews's Turing series, and her Meg Langslow series which are funny mysteries.
And of course the Grand Master of all Science Fiction, Jules Verne.

Most of the Sara Graves series, which is Dianne Mott Davidson with a hammer instead of an oven...for whatever reason most are written by women. Men seem to believe that every book needs violence and rape and beatings..not in my case. I can read all that in the daily newspaper.

I can sit in my chair with a lap robe over me and my cat on my lap and a good book and a big glass of diet pepsi beside me. Most times I lean back to to "rest my eyes" and wake up an hour later to finish my book, cat still asleep.

Read here, read books, play my computer games, listen to music, sit outside and enjoy nicer weather, enjoy cards and trivia games but like Airwick-don't like monopoly. I don't think I've ever succeeded in that game but will play if my grands need another player.
