I usually keep bugging the post office & it eventually shows up. Did the package have to go through any of the areas with bad weather conditions. Have the person you mailed to bug her post office as well.

I would discuss with buyer ... if she didn't request Insurance or Delivery
Confirmation, and P.O. has no way to trace .... perhaps offering to
refund 1/2 of $$ would be acceptable to her. After all, you did package
it and pay postage.

I think if she complains to PayPal they will take it out of your account.
My husband sells on eBay and that happened to him. His item was sent to Germany and was in Customs for a while. He did get his money back after he proved that the item was received. It took a long time to resolve.
PayPal sides with the buyer and the seller has to prove that he did the right thing. Don't know how you do that without delivery confirmation or something like that.

It's not free.?? And usually one doesn't pay for this unless it's a somewhat costly item.

Delivery Confirmation is only free on Priority Mail when you print & pay for the label on the USPS.com website.

Proof of Delivery is a letter that includes the recipient's name and a copy of their signature. You can request Proof of Delivery to be emailed, faxed, or mailed to you for no additional fee for Express Mail® and Signature Confirmation™ services.

I guess you have to send it this way though and it's more $$
