I miss my grandparents. They were like a second set of parents to me because they lived just down the street. Their house was always open. I also miss being able to enjoy the summer. I can't tolerate heat or humidity now, so summer is not a good time anymore. Mostly, I just miss being a kid! :-D

My dad.........he passed away a little over a year ago. I always knew he was wonderful......but I wish I'd have been more aware of it when I was a child.....then he was just "Dad" - - - I thought everyone had a cool dad like I did.

What wonderful memories you have brought back to me--many the same as yours. For those whose childhood was not so pleasant, please know that I feel love for you and understand your pain. Blessings for you!

Going to the cottage for the summer with my mother and siblings. My dad would join us every weekend. It was wonderful, we swam whenever we wanted and ran wild like hoydens. Mom even enjoyed the less structured life because dad was at work all week and meals were whenever we were hungry instead of at specific times. We left for the cottage the day after school got out and didn't come home till the weekend before school started. It was heaven!

Miss everything about my childhood!!!! Had fabulous parents and it all went to H in a Handbasket after I got married. Got better after div, 12 yrs. later. We do have a lovely daughter and 3 DGS. My dad died at 52 and mom 83. Now if I could get rid of my CFIDS, I would be, shouting from the roof tops. Becasue I have had it for a loooooooooooooooood time. And my dad died too young, 12/26/66 in an auto accident. He was a Christmas baby. Miss his so much! Mother also. We were all so close.

Spending holidays with grandparents and cousins. Ice skating on the lake. Swimming in the lakes. Watching mom and grandma sewing. Helping my dad under the car. Loved being daddy's little girl. Sure miss dad and mom both passed now. Loved when my son was a toddler.
