The other day, my husband and I went and picked up a few groceries since we had been out of the state for almost 3 weeks.
He grabs a container of Strawberries....oh geez $4.99 for this stupid container and they didn't look too ripe either.
We get home HE puts the groceries away (he always does I never have to). The next day, I thought I would eat a couple and see how good the flavor was. So I get a bowl and I put 5 strawberries in it. Come sit and read news on the computer and eat them. They werent too bad but not really too flavorful. My husband says to me not to eat them all. WHAT??? Now why would he say that. Oh well. So the following evening, I said "honey can I eat some of your strawberries?" He says yes. So I go to get them out of the refrigerator and I can't find them. CHARLES...(so he can hear me) WHERE ARE THE STRAWBERRIES? He says.... OVER HERE ON MY TABLE. So I go and get them and the container is empty but for the hulls and ONE strawberry. So I tell him " YOU BUTTNUGGET, you told ME NOT to eat all the strawberries and so what did you do?

He says....I SAVED YOU ONE!! And sure enough there was only ONE strawberry in there with the hulls. I said why didn't you eat that last one and he says, because he thought it would be mean if he ate ALL OF THEM...Go Figure!!!

LOl At least he tried. Next time share them evenly before either of you start eating them. That's what my DH likes to do with our favorite foods. Then we are both happy. :)

Forgot to tell you, I love your quote. Those are thoughts we try to live by. The "Think good thoughts for those who don't" can at times be a bit of a challenge though. Still we do try. :)

Whats actually funny is normally I don't eat strawberries and I'm not even sure why I did that night. LOL But it was a good thing I did, because ONE strawberry wont satisfy you...just like you cant eat just onepotato chip
