First my DGD and I went to the store. Then we were making cookies. Ok, I spilled the egg I cracked on the counter, then her drink on the counter. Then she spilled her drink all over my cook book.

Ok, got all the hermits and oatmeal cookies baked, put a batch of the sugar cookies in and my oven died!

Only on a holiday, huh? I hope it comes back on to heat up the turkey tomorrow.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!

Oh dear...my mom's stove died one year on Thanksgiving morning...thankfully the neighbor, helped us out...needless to say, we had a late meal, but still it was a meal.

My mom's oven gave out during the cooking of a turkey but no one noticed until it was time to take it out and it was still raw! Mom didn't bat an eye and just whipped up some spaghetti sauce and us kids were happy as clams to have spaghetti.

I am sorry it happened but glad it is working again. We'll pray it decides to work tomorrow.

I lost my refrigerator a week before Thanksgiving. I was without one for a whole month over Thanksgiving weekend. We have a small one in the garage so we just packed it full. Thankfully that wasn't as bad as losing your oven.
