Apparently about 50 wild exotic animals were let free from a private exotic animal area and then the owner took his own life. About 32 have been shot so far. Lions, tigers, bears, and more. Really scary

I often drove through Zanesville when my Mother was alive. It was always a treat when we could see the camels on the hill, bordered along I 70. I did not know he held such dangerous animals..

Like Jerrasic Park for the exotic animal world. yikes !

We had a similar issue in FL when our hurricanes went thur a few years ago. The wild cat rescue lost a lot of fencing. When you go down to volunteer we had to sign a form saying we were aware large aninmals were loose. I think eventually most were returned to the rescue group but a few they think were killed or live in the uninhabited areas.

I'm within a couple of hours of Zanesville. According to the news, the owner, only out of prison for a couple of weeks, opened all the cage doors then committed suicide. Don't mean to offend anyone, but if the guy wanted to commit suicide fine by me but why on earth do you feel the need to commit 50 animals to death with you???? From last I heard, 39 of the animals had been killed and several were still unaccounted for. Luckily, no people have been hurt (that I've heard about anyway). Such a horrible, horrible situation.
