Default What are these?

I purchased 3 totes full of fabric and found these. There are 5 different shapes, about 50 in each stack except the bottom right which has about 10 and those have a notch in each one. They are flannel. I have no clue what they are for, any ideas?

I don't sew clothing at all but could they be the beginnings of shoulder pads?

My guess is the start of making teddy bears. Looks like some of the head pattern pieces I have used in the past.

If they were cotton, I might guess pieces for a butterfly appliqué quilt. Since they are flannel, I am voting for teddy bear pieces.

They look to be cut a way from making sleeping pants.

A couple of the shapes make me think of butterfly wings.

Could they possibly be used for bean bags in different shapes? I have made many in flannel but usually just make squares or circles.

Could they be pieces left over after cutting something else out? At the quilt shop in town I have purchased similar shapes of scraps . Just a guess...
