My dad always said to me ,"leave that chapter out of your book." I guess I asked to many questions. :?:

When I would be hurt or angry at what someone did to me she would tell me not to retaliate but to, "Give the devil enough rope and he'll hang himself."

It usually turned out as she said and the bad guy was "found out."

The other good one - "Put a beggar on horseback and he'll ride it to death." This one I see happening a lot in our world today...

My brother had a saying when he saw someone
with a big butt "They have a lot of junk in the trunk".

Another is "she is happy like a pig in a pile of mud"

Knee high to a grasshopper.

Been reading again and thought of two of my Dad's favorites: "A penny saved is a penny earned" and one that is so not typical of him, "that makes my butt smile".

MY Mom used to say this about rude impolite people.
"They were born in the basement and never brought up!!
I always thought this was a good saying.

Yours reminded me of one my husband's Uncle was known for ...

Old saying that I thought was so funny.
So stupid he could'nt pour Pee(being nice) out of a boot if he had to turn it upside down to read the directions on the heel.

Children are suppose to be seen and not heard.

She's having a hissy fit.
