My mama always said..." You got the same britches to get glad in that you got mad in". Another one was..."be sure your sins will find you out". I thought she made that one up but I found it in the bible one time. haha

red sky at nightm sailors delight, red sky in the morn, sailors take warning.

beauty is as beauty does.

a penny saved is a penny gained.

you can't put a button on an out house door.

my parents went thru the heart of the depression. they would save any thing and ever thing "because I might be able to use it someday."

LOOK with your eyes, NOT with your hands!
whole milk separated when I was young, my father would say(as we shook up the milk)" STOP shaking up the cow sh*t!"- it was store milk, not from the farm!
and mine to teenage twin(hormonal)boys, who were stronger than me, "REMEMBER, you gotta sleep, sometime!"-they were good kids!

My MIL had a saying

"Patience is a virtue,
catch it if you can,
Seldom in a woman,
Never in a man... "

Hubbys saying.. Usually means my idea sucks and its not gonna happen.. lol.. ..

"people in hell want Ice water"

Lots of good ones here :-)

How's about - looking or feeling "like 40 miles of bad road".

That tastes good enough to make a puppy pull a freight train.

My father used to say about small steaks or sandwiches: that is as thin as the Dallas News!

One of my old favorites that I forgot to include yesterday.

The Ex would always say this one

When dinner was plain or lacked a main entree, his comment would be, " sh*t on a shingle".

And one of my top favorite saying is
"Two wrongs, don't make a right".
