I came home today to the biggest surprise I think I've ever experienced. This has done more to make me feel like there are caring people out in the world than anything else.

Last year, I signed up into the secret quilt angel game here on the QB. It was pretty exciting to be assigned to send to someone in Brazil and I had the most delightful year selecting items to send every month that wouldn't overtax the postage meter yet were worth receiving. Stuffing small boxes became an art.

Now, the wonderful quilter I had so much fun sending to all year has surprised me. A birthday gift, and THIS - a New Year's gift. Mail times between us are unbelievably slow and I see that the postal service had to see what was inside, but all appears well inside.
I LOVE the calendar and am going to have so much fun looking at it every day on my desk. My DH likes the purse but I think I'll be able to keep it from him. ;)

THANK YOU, LIGIA

People around the world can be wonderful. I used to swap with International quilters around the world for years. I hate to think what I spent on postage!!
