Default When I woke up today...

When I woke up at 7:00 this morning, the ground was clear and it was cold. Now we have nearly a foot of snow! My DD is half way through a 300+ mile trip to Bremerton WA and has gone just over 100 miles since 9:00 am. The weather man said it would snow tonight, not today. This is the wrong-est he has ever been. I am going to bundle up and take my Siberian Husky out to play in it. I have plenty of hot cocoa and a hot shower for when we get home. Silly arctic dog is lucky I love him so much, or I would not leave the house.
Brrrrrrrrrr!

Sorry, how remiss of me. Here is Yukon King storing energy to go out side in a little bit.

I had a husky years ago. He was the nicest dog and kept the critters from our acreage! He was in heaven in the cold weather. We had a dog house for him but he would burrow into a snowbank near the deck and go to sleep. If it snowed during the night and I'd go check on him he was covered up and perfectly happy.

I've had more snow in the last couple of days than all the last two years. Thank goodness it is the dry stuff, easier to shovel. The worst of it is that temperatures are in the single digits. There's more predicted Friday night and next week. I wonder how long it will take it to melt .... and when I can shed these long johns. I'm so looking forward to June .... it has to be warmer.

We did go for a walk with Yukon King, but after two blocks he decided that it was too cold to be a husky, and started pulling me toward home. I haven't tried to walk through a foot of snow I years. I am way to old and crippled to do it now. Brrrrr!

It started snowing in McMinnville about 10:45 a.m. -- by 1 p.m. the roads were terrible, made worse by the wind. I was so glad to make it home. Stay warm!
