I am not proud of this, which probably means it's an addiction!

Sometimes I do. I didn't do any quilting or sewing after coming home from work tonight, but I sure posted here a lot!

I do, especially when I'm too tired.

OMG. I did something similar on Friday. Left a pot on the stove for the first time in my life. House fire alarm went off, and I thought it was the sewer alarm. Raced to the mechanical room to try to disengage the alarm -- which I couldn't figure out how to do, so decided to go for the ear defenders in the garage. On my way out of the mechanical room, the phone rang and it was our home security system. Couldn't hear her over the alarm, so asked her to hold on while I went up the stairs (on my way to the garage). SMOKE swirling in the kitchen and all through the main floor. Managed to move the pot to the next burner and turn off the stove, but the house still smells like burnt sugar in places three days later. (Was making food for the hummingbirds.)

sigh......

At least the girl didn't have to call the fire department out.
