With the famous "black" friday coming up i was wondering how many of you guys are going to go out into the insanity? I admit i have never gotten into the black friday frenzy. I really don't like crowds that push and shove. I know there are a lot of people that get up at insane hours to be out there. Me, i have my little ones overnight on Thanksgiving so i will be up early but watching cartoons instead :!:

When In Fl....visiting DD,we used to always go shopping the day after. Weather was nice & fun to go with DD.
Back home in OH.....I got to where I asked myself if I really wanted to go out in the cold/whatever to save a few bucks.
So far, the ans is no.Besides, if someone gave this old gal a shove, they'd prob have to call the squad :-)

Almost never! I worked too many years in retail and hated working that day. I do much of my Christmas shopping either early or online. Check out the stores upcoming black friday ads online at BFAds.net. There are early ads, online ads, store ads. It makes life so much easier and I think I spend less than I would at the stores.

Made that mistake once. I promised myself that it would be a little piece of personal history that would never repeat itself. It's crowded, people are cranky from not getting enough sleep, they're anxious and rude, there's pushing and shoving, yelling and fussing, and then we have to try to park and get out of the car.

I live in Canada, so we don't have the Black Friday thing going on...but I HATE shopping when it's busy. I purposely do any Christmas Shopping BEFORE the end of November - this year, the majority was done by end October, just a few small things to get - because I hate hate hate going anywhere near shopping malls and department stores at Christmas time. I hate the chaos...sooooo I highly doubt that I would venture out on Black Friday unless there was something very specific that I really wanted to get...and even then, it's a long shot! haha

Never, no, not. Would rather, well, anything else. The real meaning of Christmas has been stolen by the retailers.

I always cook thanksgiving and by friday, I'm beat. I went once with my daughter and we had Fun! We giggled at all the crazy people and went to breakfast afterwards. But have never, and would never, go alone or with anyone else but her. It's way too stressful. Will be at her house this year for t-giving... not sure if she's planning on going or not.

I do my shopping while the kids are in school during the week. If any of the fabric stores have big sales that day, I may go look. Otherwise I say stay home and skip the madness!

I would rather spend the day in my sewing room or studio as some say! Sounds much more enjoyable to me! Spend less that way too! Although the fabric stores are all sending me coupons and reasons to spend that day with them, it is tempting but no!
