My computer guy said that 10 is not bad if you buy a new computer that has it already installed, but NOT to upgrade whatever you're using now (Windows 8.1 for me). Apparently there are some conflicts that haven't been worked out.

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 on my desktop. However, when it came to upgrading my Windows 7 on my laptop my computer guy said it wouldn't be a good idea. We put a lot of trust in his wisdom.

I am so glad I came across this forum. My fiancée downloaded the 10 on his laptop and he doesn't have a problem with it. I downloaded it about a month ago and true to form, at least in my world, that I couldn't print embroidery designs that I had just purchased let alone try to save them on to the my usb flash drive. If my Windows & will be ok till 2020 then I'll wait till then. It'll give time for any kinks to be worked out of it. In the meantime I also have an upgrade to do on my Babylock machine and it doesn't say anything of W10 supported so I'll do this quickly! Thanks all for the great info!

My laptop has Windows 7, haven't switched as I'm afraid that my EQ6 won't work if I switch to Windows 10. Windows 8.1 on the desktop computer.

You can easily do the driver updates yourself.

Because of a glass of sweet tea and my klutziness, I have a new laptop and windows 10 -- I haven't seen a lot of differences other than powering down my computer, more like Vista and an earlier system -- good luck as things like you have experienced are irritating and frustrating -- for me, it's more learning to use and adjust to a newer, even fancier laptop and my new iphone-- again good luck with all-- prior to my tea accident, I was advised not to try windows 10 on my 7 year old laptop as that would have been its 3rd os

I switched up this month for windows seven to ten. So far DD who is a techie has helped me over a few bumps in learning the system. For what I do, it is working out except for Free Cell not on the system. There are games out there to download, but have not had the time yet. To every problem, there is an answer if one searches enough and knows a techie. Nice to read the different viewpoints and how Windows Ten stacks up with the QB folks. Thanks for all the input from each of you.

My eldest DD uses my HP laptop a lot since she has an Apple desk top and it was not compatible with her work computer. So one weekend she did the up date to the Windows 10 - I remained calm because I was afraid I had lost all of my embroidery programs and designs. But we found the fix on the Husqvarna website and all was good. My e-mail is g-mail, so there was no problem there either.
