Default Winter Weather

I just got off the phone with friend living in North Dakota near the Canadian border.

She said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling.

The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force.

Her husband has done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare.

She says that if it gets much worse, she may have to let him in.

She must be living in the eastern part of the state as we over here have very little snow and it has been windy but, thank heaven for no snow or we would have had a blizzard. Usually this time of the year when people die they have to be kept until spring to be buried, but I went to a funeral today in Minot and they did the burial. the ground is hardly frozen and plenty of moisture. Hopefully we don't get so much that it floods again in the spring. A lot of homes in Minot are not being done --some just setting the way they were when the water went down in July. I would almost bet, they will have to be demolished because of that. so many people without homes yet.
